Get that perfect slice!!!

     Slicing watermelon can be a messy job with all the juices and seeds that are being spilled off as you slice it. So to say the least, I was pleased to get an opportunity to review this awesome watermelon slicer. I got this product at a full promotional discount in exchange of an honest and unbiased review. The product is sold on Amazon by Sweet Slice.

     Don't you just hate the mess of slicing watermelon and having the juices and seeds spill out all over. Doing so draws ants and insects that you do not wish to have. Or you have to make sure you clean all that sweet stuff up before they invade. Well I received this product last week and over the weekend I purchased a watermelon and gave it a try. The product is meant to slice the watermelon leaving all the rind intact. First cut your melon in half. Then you just hold the tip along the edge of the rind, push down and then across the bottom and back up to the other side of the rind. It slices perfectly with no mess. And boy do you get a big meaty slice of melon. It cuts a size approximately two inches thick, I don't have a measuring tape, but I assure you it is a thick meaty slice. Once you cut the melon, turn it over and the curve of the slicer can be used as tongs to transfer the melon from the rind to the plate. Leaves the whole rind intact and all the mess inside. My bunch couldn't wait for their slice so it was getting gone as fast as I was slicing. The slicer has a red silicone handle and an aluminum type base. The silicone handle allows for control when slicing and picking up the melon using as tongs. It can slice any kind of melon with ease. I had purchased another one of these several months ago and my daughter in law wanted one, so this one is for her. Check out the video below to see how easy it is done.

     Negatives:
          I have no negatives to mention, the product performs the way it was intended.

     Suggestions: I feel a hole in the handle would make storage easier, so that it wouldn't have to take space up in a drawer, but could be hung. This opinion has nothing to do with the performance of the product, just a thought that may help improve production.
